Westinghouse Broadcast Center opens.

The broadcast studio for both the WBZ and WBZ, it is located at 1150 Soldiers Field Road. The radio station moves to the iHeart Media, Inc. complex in Medford in 2018. Plans call for construction of a new WBZ facility adjacent to the current one.
